New Forest District Council have just finished two weeks of through-the-night litter picking along 16km of the A31, collecting between 30-60 bags a night, plus tyres, wood, tarpaulins, bits of furniture….
And today they have started three of days of litter clearance from the verges along two sections of the dual carriageway.
You might spot them at A326 Totton, near Jct 2 M27, to Marchwood, and along the A35 from Rushington to Colbury.
They have eight staff out doing this, and are working with teams from Hampshire County Council who are verge cutting at the same time.
There’s no excuse for littering.
Thank you, if you put your rubbish in a bin (we provide 1,200 of them) or take your rubbish home.
